My PRiNCe

This is my "Prince Charming". I met J.P. in 2002 when I was working at a tuxedo shop. He came in to reserve tuxes for his wedding ... and then canceled 2 weeks later and after talking with me (the sales clerk) for an hour, he said, "Hey, so now I'm single we should go out sometime!" And here we are 7 years later, 4 1/2 years married, and he's still as charming as the day I met him. I always wanted a "Tall, Dark and Handsome" type, but I sure got a bonus because I never knew I'd end up with someone who has such an awesome sense of humor and who would make me laugh EVERYDAY of my life!

One of my favorite moments he gave me was: The day Sugar was born. He was so precious. He usually acts like this real tough guy... but on July 16, 2005 at 9:58 AM he wept as he held OUR perfect daughter for the first time. She looks so much like him, those chiseled eyebrows and refined features and that thick dark hair. She gets her most beautiful features from him. And I love how much he adores everything about her. What a great Dad!

So although Valentine's Day has passed I just wanted to tell you, My Prince, in case I don't say it enough, (and I know I don’t) You are a wonderful person. You are a good man. I appreciate how much you give for us and I want you to know we need you. OUR family doesn't work the way it's meant to without you in the middle of it. You are my best friend and the best part of my life. And I will always love you!

Loved the post! You write just like you used to talk (how else are you suppose to write, right?) What I mean to say, is I can almost here you telling me this in person. Just like the good old days when we would talk about our boys as we fell fast asleep dreaming of them. I loved your comment about Brinley’s stitches too. I’m so going to use your response for her next tantrum. I’m sure it will do the trick. Oh ya, you should publish a book on different hair styles! I’m so not original when it comes to my girls hair!
