I am getting rather anxious for Spring, as I think we all are. So we've been eating lots of fresh fruits to remind us that Spring will come... someday.
With all the strawberries, raspberries and other fruits around we decided that it was time for some chocolate dipping. What goes with berries better than chocolate? NOTHING! So Sugar spent an afternoon dipping all our delicious strawberries and after a few minutes in the fridge she was given the option to choose anyone she wanted. So she picks a nice sized strawberry and takes a bite, then puts it back. And then she takes another one, same routine. After the third I stop her and ask, " Honey, what are you doing? Lets finish one before we start another." She looked at the plateful and finally said, "I just don't think I can like these!" "What? Why?" (I'm still baffled...today ) " Well, how 'bout you take that dark peel off and I can just have a strawberry. Yeah, I think I could like that... I TRIED, but I just can't like that dark stuff!!"
So I think I've discovered the key to my weight loss problem. She gets the fruit and I eat the peeled off chocolate. Hummm.... maybe it's a win/win if we both get the part we like.

Your berries look professional!! So pretty!! I have to ask, though. WHAT KIND OF GIRL ARE YOU RAISING?? She doesn't like chocolate? I might have to have a little heart to heart with her.

Omg I love your daughter I just don't get how she does not like the chocolate though thats so good one day she will love it and you will have to tell her the story about how she did not like it.
Love it! One day she'll realize just what she missing out on, but until then ENJOY! Hey, thanks for the suggestions. I know I got to give it another try, but it's just working up the energy to get the job done! Until then, enjoy your chocolate!
That's too funny! Lovely is a chocolate addict! Too bad that part of her life is over now. Poor girl.
